              The A team are 2-1/2   - 2-1/2 with a game to play on wednesday I will update when the games are finished.
              The B team had a good day out on saturday, a big thank you to the roped in players who were seconðed at short notice.
On board 1. Kenneth Higgins dragged out the game against a good opponent  and won when it became obvious that he had a won ending. Johhny Dunne on board two out foxed his opponent in a close ending. Board three had the resolute John McKenna  in a french exchange that dragged into a draw (suprise ! )   My self (Ron)  got into a little time trouble with five minutes  only left on the clock after playing black against my favourite white opening  (the English)  i was a pawn up heading to the endgame then two, then my opponent fell for a beginners trap that picked up his last rook and it was all over.  Tom sr on board five played a great opening but blundered a rook and pawn for nothing, all looked lost, untill he offered a draw, and it was accepted.  So we came away with a 4-1 victory and our hopes for the league title remain high.
